How to Disable Auto Update Applications on iOS and OS X - Almost every mobile operating systems like iOS does have auto update features of applications, ie by updating all third-party applications that you download via AppStore on your iPhone and iPad automatically, with the goal of improving performance and fixes bugs on the application. In fact, there are usually new features added through this way. Not only IOS, but on Apple computer operating system, the Mac OS X, also has this feature. 

By presenting the auto update feature automatically every applications, it is not without purpose. However, some people think this feature could make them lose, because the quota of data packets owned internet users generally limited, update applications with large files without the knowledge the owner of device, of course, could spend the cellular data, and the fact that mobile data is still you can use to access social media or surfing the internet, but have to run out quickly because of this feature.

To resolve this problem, is actually quite easy, because in iOS and the Mac OS X, this feature you can fully disable, and switch to update every Applications, which is located on your iOS device, the manual way. By disabling the auto update feature in iOS and the Mac OS X, In addition to saving your Internet data quota, it also can save battery usage. Because in this article we discuss two different operating systems, but still within the scope of the same company, we will start on iOS first.

Step 1: Please open the Settings Applications on your iOS device as usual.

Step 2: Scroll down until you find the "iTunes & App Store"

Step 3: Disable Toggle on the option "Updates"

By this way all the applications that you downloaded on the AppStore, will not update automatically. Then how to update the Applications manually, you simply go to the AppStore, then choose the application you want to update. 

And for Mac OS X.

Step 1: Please access the "System Preferences" you can find it via the Dock or Launchpad.

Step 2: In the menu "System Preferences", you select the "App Store".

Step 3: Please uncheck the "Download Newly Available Updates in Background" To Disable Auto-update automatically on Mac OS X.
